For almost 60 years, the Lettura Vinciana represents the opening event of the Leonardian Celebrations in Vinci. In fact, since 1960, the Leonardian Library has entrusted one of the most important exponents of the historiography to the task of a critical intervention on one of the many fields in which Leonardo’s activity developed. The continuity of this initiative and the recognized scientific authoritativeness of the speakers have made this event an event of great cultural interest, capable of documenting fundamental tendencies and main protagonists of the winning studies in the last decades. On the occasion of the 500th anniversary of the death of Leonardo da Vinci, the conference will be held by prof. Carlo Vecce who will address the theme “Leonardo and time”.
