Invention – a fundamental aspect of science, philosophy, and art, and a key driving force for the progress of knowledge – will be the main theme of this edition of National Geographic Festival of Sciences, involving all areas of the Auditorium Parco della Musica.
The underlying themes which, intertwined together, will guide the planning activities to be carried out, are summed up within the following topic groups:
• Lessons on Leonardo
• Stories of great inventors
• Witnesses to invention
• Visions of invention
• Great steps for humanity
With a view to fostering direct participation, numerous activities have been planned, designed to involve all age groups.
In keeping with its aims, the Festival will again be promoting scientific culture this year, reaching into all areas of the city with the collaboration of 25 of Rome’s Libraries, Maxxi, the BioParco, 6 scientific museums and the scientific networks of the Sapienza and Tor Vergata universities.
The programme is scheduled to include:
evening events, lessons, educational workshops, topical video shows, meetings and presentations, reading lists and debates, exhibitions and a cycle of themed walks.
